Heart Saver CPR & AED, teaches CPR, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) to all lay rescuers, including those who are expected to respond to emergencies in a workplace or school.  This class covers Adult (8 Years +), Child (1-7), and Infant (under 1) emergencies.

This class is appropriate for anyone needing CPR certification but who is not currently in the healthcare field or attending a healthcare-related program of study.  This class meets DCFS requirements for adoptive and foster parents.

First Aid teaches first responders to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive.  This course provides training on first aid, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies.

Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) includes information that will help students understand risks of exposure and how to reduce them for themselves and others.  The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.10.0) (One year certification issued upon completion)  1.5 Hour Class
Emergency Oxygen Administration focuses on rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.  Serious medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body; supplemental oxygen is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury.  2 Hour Class

Infant & Pediatric First Aid with CPR & AED addresses managing illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.  Topics include first aid basics, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies. Additionally, CPR and use of an AED on  infants and children from birth to eight years of age is covered.

This class is approved for 0.6 CECs for ACE Certified Trainers and Instructors.

Reiki (Level 1, 2 & 3)   one of several well-known healing modalities.  "Rei," literally translates as "Spirit," and "Ki," means "Life or light energy." Reiki has many applications; most commonly used to treat stress, low energy, performance anxiety, chakra allignment, and to restore an maintain optimal health.  In some instances, Reiki can actually enhance one's vitality and performance beyond baseline. This class is approved for 0.4 CECs for ACE Certified Trainers and Instructors.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR is designed to teach the skills of CPR  (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-valve mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO).

This class is appropriate for anyone currently working in the healthcare field or anybody attending any health-related program of study.  Equivalent to: The Red Cross Class - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

American Heart Association Instructor Classes cover adult learner education concepts relevant to teaching and evaluating CPR performance.  You will NOT learn CPR during the Instructor course. It is expected that you have excellent CPR skills and the ability to work with groups of all sizes.

Basic Wilderness First Aid is an 8-hour course for those who are involved in wilderness recreation. This course may also meet the needs of volunteers and professionals who lead groups on short trips in relatively low-risk situations   .(Three year certification issued upon completion)  .

Prerequisites: Current CPR & AED Certification

Wilderness First Aid 2 is a continuation of Basic Wilderness First Aid.  This course is an additional 8 hours and is geared toward those who are involved in serious wilderness activities. This course is the choice of many wilderness trip leaders and guides.  Please note:  this class is not the equivalent of a Wilderness First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician Training.  .(Three year certification issued upon completion)

Advanced First Aid is a 16-hour course that prepares participants to recognize and act in an emergency to sustain life.  This program exceeds OSHA guidelines for emergency care.
