The American Heart Association First Aid Certification Course is designed for individuals and members of First Response Teams that may be expected to respond to a first aid emergency.
The class is approved for 0.6 CECs for American Council on Exerciese (ACE) certified trainers and instructors when taken along with the CPR & AED Component.
First Aid teaches first responders to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive. This course provides training on first aid, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies. (Two year certification issued upon completion)
Anybody wanting to know the basics of first aid, including parents and other family members will find this class of benefit.
First Aid topics include:
* Bleeding
* Burns
* Sprains & Strains
* Allergic Reactions
* Heat & Cold Emergencies
Other specific topics of interest can be requested in advance.
This class can be conducted as a stand-alone class or in conjunction with CPR, AED, and/or Bloodborne Pathogens training. Private classes available
