AED & CPR
Training and Consulting, Inc.
The 2 year Heartsaver certification offered through the American Heart Association is the credential required by DCFS for domestic and international adoption.
The class covers procedures for infants (under 1), children (1 - 7), and adults (8 years and over), and will specifically certify you in CPR for children & infants. It is not a "general" or "generic" certification.
Please note that you may see some places offering classes in which "course completion cards" are issued. These classes offer good information but are intended for informational purposes only and will not meet the certification requirement.
At the end of the Heartsaver class, you will receive a certification stating that you are certified in:
- Adult / Child CPR and choking
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding the class or the requirements.
Certifications are offered at a reduced rate for adoptive and foster parents. Please call our office for information and to register.
